About the Role

The Priestley Academy Trust is looking to appoint an experienced Chief Finance Officer to be responsible for the financial sustainability and development of our Trust.

As CFO, the successful candidate will provide high quality leadership and management of the Trust’s finance, procurement and risk functions to enable our Trust to run smoothly, efficiently and effectively in the delivery of The Trust’s core aims.

In possession of relevant professional finance or finance related qualifications at graduate level, our ideal candidate will also be able to evidence significant post-qualifying experience and in-depth professional knowledge of managing financial resource, risk management, governance and internal audit procedures.

We are looking for someone who will prioritise accuracy and attention to detail and demonstrate clear analytical skills with which to interpret and evaluate information. In partnership with this, you will have strong persuasive, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently to stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent skills in strategic planning and strategic management of financial resources are essential, as is the ability to remain calm under pressure and have a sense of humour.

Your strong and effective leadership will inspire staff within the Trust and our schools to achieve the highest level of performance.
